You want to live a great life, but make sure your legacy is protected

With people living longer, it is harder to know what you will end up leaving to those close to you or to a cause you value. It’s my job to be there to solve those challenges so you can focus on now.

How do I balance enjoying my retirement and leaving something for the family?

Who is left to deal with my financial wishes when I am no longer here?

Who do I call to help me make the tough financial decisions?

Why It Matters

Planning for your legacy can be challenging and daunting. We all think we are invincible and that we have time to make those plans, until we run out of time.

The markets are shifting, governments are changing laws on a regular basis – are you and your loved ones protected if the industry you’re investing in changes quickly?

With over 30 years experience in the industry, I know all the ins and outs and all the dos and don’ts of the game. My passion is to help my clients create an investment plan that works for them. Our clients are invested in over 45 countries.

I can help you maximise your returns and make your money work hard for you so that you can enjoy a comfortable happy retirement lifestyle without worrying about what will happen afterwards.

A Quick Story

A widow in her mid 70’s was lucky enough to retire with a large property portfolio.

She wanted to have a great lifestyle (she’s an avid traveller – when she can) and she knew she had more than she needed to enjoy her life.

One of the biggest challenges is that we just don’t know how long we will live.

So she decided to work with me to not only secure the present, but her wishes in the future.

She has a growing family of grandchildren and beyond and wants to make sure they are looked after.

Because she has placed her trust in me, she can focus on living her life without worrying about the afterwards.

Don't just take it from me.

"I got to know John whilst working with him in developing his company’s brand principles to strengthen the emotional connectedness with his clients. During this period, I gained a deep understanding of John’s ethics and strong desire to help people both through the good times and the bad times.
His strongest desire is to make a tangible difference for his clients and future generations of their family. John has a strong sense of family, he believes strongly in wanting to contribute back to the community.
I can honestly say I have not met a financial adviser where money is not the financial driver for him, it’s much more personal, it’s about making a difference. I’d recommend anyone who wants certainty in their financial investments talk to John."

Meet John Milner

John grew up in West Auckland. His father was in multiple businesses. Over the years, he watched him and saw how companies affected the financial landscape.

After seeing friends and family invest in the share market as if they were playing Lotto (and winning like it as well), John realised the value of advice. He became eager to learn and help others succeed.

He started his career in the music business. Being part of international deals and seeing the industry fade over time, he learnt what worked and what didn't and gained an understanding of what a strong financial investment is.

John was then involved in retail. He worked with big companies like The BBQ Factory & Noel Leeming's when they were only in their early days.

He loved the excitement of growing these businesses from just 1 store into big retailers and got a taste of how businesses could be scaled.

From there, together with two business partners, John built a successful financial services business that became the gold standard in New Zealand.

Now John's boutique practice works with a small number of private clients. He enjoys working with them helping them create a retirement plan that works for them so that they won't outlive their money.
